It is with great sadness that the family of the late Cecil Gordon Inkpen announces his peacefully passing surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, October 11, 2020 at US Memorial Hospital, St. Lawrence at the age of 61 years. Leaving to mourn with loving and precious memories wife and best friend Susan of 33 years, father C. Theodore Inkpen of Lewin's Cove; son Ivan Inkpen (Adrienne Fitzpatrick) of Burin; daughter Cynthia Mayo (Stanley) of Marystown; grandson Hunter; sisters Lisa Inkpen (Dominic Lefebvre) of Slave Lake, AB, Christine Slaney (Stan) of Brooks, AB, brothers Harvey Inkpen (Cindy), Scott Inkpen (Wandalee) & Murray Inkpen all of Lewin’s Cove; plus a large circle of other family & friends. Predeceased by Mother Mildred Doris Inkpen, grandparents John & Mabel Inkpen, Norman & Grace Kirby. Visitation will be on Monday October 12, 2020 from 7-9pm and Tuesday October 13, 2020 from 10am-12pm, 2-4pm & 7-9pm. Funeral service will take place from Serenity Chapel on Wednesday, October 14, 2020 at 2pm with interment following at Hope United Cemetery, Lewin’s Cove. Donations in his memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Society NL or flowers gratefully accepted. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home, Burin.
