Obituary of Eric Cecil Pike
It is with broken hearts we announce the peaceful passing of a dear husband, father, grandfather, brother. Eric passed peacefully away at Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre, at the age of 85 on Saturday April 27, 2024.
Leaving to mourn with precious memories is his loving wife Ruby of 54 years, daughters Diane (Mike), Shelly (Edward), Violet (Ola). His pride and joys were his grandchildren Joshua, Sarah (Jeanine), Ryan, Brianna and Kaden. Brothers Eli (Ella), Clayton (Judy), Angus (Selina), Alister (Maureen) Wilfred (Frances), sister Beulah (Frank) plus a large circle of other family and friends.
Predeceased by his parents James and Violet Pike and parents-in-law William and Frances Green.
Eric was a fisherman for most of his life. He had a love for the ocean that he kept even after he retired. Being a man of few words, he spent hours watching the boats preparing to go out to sea. Eric was such a calm soul who never asked for anything. He was happy as long as Ruby was taken care of. He will live on in our memories through the stories that will be told by family and friends that loved him.
Special Thanks to his careworker Krista Pelley for her loving care of our dad who was like another daughter to him.
The family would like to thank the staff of BPHCC that took care of our beloved father and husband.
