Obituary of Earl Inkpen
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Earl Leonard Inkpen formerly of Lewin’s Cove, residing in Greenhill, Burin announce his peaceful passing at the Burin Peninsula Healthcare Centre, March 15, 2024, on his 74th birthday.
Leaving to mourn are sons Barry (Crystal) Inkpen, Darren Inkpen, Craig Inkpen, & Alan (Ruby) Inkpen; daughters Alison (Ahren) Kirby & Ashley (Brad) Clarke; 12 beautiful grandchildren; sisters Susan (Alvin), Ella (Kevin); brothers Arnold, Bill, Fraser (Elaine); sisters-in-law Sharon, Dorothy and Linda; special friend Esther; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, family and friends whom he appreciated and cherished.
Predeceased by infant granddaughter Elsie Clarke; parents Leonard & Reta Inkpen; stepmother Grace Inkpen; wife Ada; brothers Russell & Roy; brother-in-law Jerry Appleby; sisters-in-law Valetta and Shirley Inkpen and nephew Jason Inkpen.
Earl took an interest in the mechanics of how things worked from a young age. This led him to a career as an Electrician. He was known to have a gifted mind for electrical work and it was a lifelong interest of his. He never turned down a call to help someone who needed to avail of his expertise. Earl enjoyed music and spending time working on his land. These are the qualities his family will remember and hold dear to their hearts with his memory.
In keeping with Earl’s wishes there will be no visitation or funeral service. Cremation has taken place.
