Obituary of Pearl Little
Passed peacefully away at G.B. Cross Memorial Hospital in Clarenville on March 3, 2022, surrounded by the love her children, (Ada) Pearl Little (nee Stanley) of Bloomfield in her 82nd year. Predeceased by her parents Ross and Myra Stanley, husband Donald Little, sons Arthur and Oliver, grandson Dillion Simmonds, and son in law Harold Strong.
Pearl was an amazing mother, grandmother, sister, and friend to all. She glowed every day, and it was easy to see the love she had for her family and friends – it shone through her. But, above all, mom had a heart for Jesus, who she loved and served for many years. She leaves behind a godly heritage
In her early years, at the age of 17, she married the love her life, Don Little. They were married on September 28, 1956. They remained in George’s Brook for a number ofyears until 1967, when they decided to move back to Donald’s hometown of Bloomfield, for he wanted to resume his life in the fishery. They shared 10 children.
Pearl faced sickness many times, but always kept going for her children. After Don passed, she then became the pillar that held the family together. She took on the role of mother and father for her family. Through all of this, she remained with unwavering faith in the God she loved and served.
Left to mourn are her siblings Sherman (Glenys), Elaine, and Verna (Lindsay); her children Ray (Cheryl), Jerry (Bonnie), Nancy, Audrey (Wayne), Roger (Valerie), Robert (Sylvia), Barry (Shirlee), and Darrell (David); grandchildren Trevor, Tyson (Wendy), Teri Lynn (Shane), Bradley(Merissa), Shanna, Andrew, Adam (Sarah), Miranda (Joey), Christopher, Robert (Melissa), Kayla, Gregory, and Mikayla (Mitchell) Pamela (Scott), Jason; 15 great grand- children; and many other family members and friends.
