Harvey was born November 14, 1936, on Fogo Island, he worked there for 22 years in the lumber woods and relocated to Burin 45 years ago where he and his beloved wife made a great life for themselves. Harvey worked at the fish plant in Marystown and Grace at the hospital.

He loved anything to do with the outdoors from fishing to hunting. He was an active member of both the Masonic Lodge and the Shriner's. He could always be counted on to give a helping hand.

He was a great dad and grandfather. His joy was in the children, he loved for them to visit, and they loved him dearly. His granddaughter wrote this tribute for him that explains how all the kids will miss him dearly.

"I knew so little that evening, that God would call your name.

In life I loved you dearly Pop, in death I will do the same.

It breaks my heart to lose you, you did not go alone.

For part of me was with you, the day God called you home.

You left us beautiful memories; your love is still our guide.

And though we cannot see you, you are always by our side.

Our family chain is broken, and nothing seems the same.

But as God calls us one by one, our chains will link again."

Rest in Peace Pop.... Until We Meet again for some fish and brews and LOTS of onions.

Loves Ya
