It is with great sadness that the family of Tony Clarke of Port au Bras announce his passing at his residence at the age of 58 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories wife Margaret; daughters Tracey Collins (Joseph) of Marystown, Kayla Clarke (Brian) of Marystown and Regina Billard (Mike) of Grand Bank; mother Nora Clarke; grandchildren Madison and Ava; sisters Lisa Clarke (Jimmy Abbott) of Burin and Helen Clarke of Burin; brothers Jim of Fort Mac, Gerald (Pam) of NS, Dominic (Ellen) of NS and Jamie of Marystown; sister-in-law Evelyn Clarke of Red Harbour, his soul companion his dog Sky; many nieces and nephews plus a large circle of other family and friends. Predeceased by father James Clarke, sister Sandy Steward, grandmother Theresa Myles and step father Robert Clarke. Family will be accepting visitors at Serenity Funeral Home, Burin Sunday, June 27th and Monday, June 28th for 2-4PM and 7-9PM funeral service to take place from Serenity Chapel, Tuesday, June 29th at 11AM and interment to follow at Anglican Cemetery, Hodder's Point. In his memory donations may be made to the family. Tony was married for 34 years to his wife who he loved dearly and she will always remember his love for her. He was a proud father of his girls and his grandchildren were his world. He loved his mom with his heart and soul they had a wonderful relationship and he loved talking to her. She was always there for him and without a doubt he died knowing that. He was a kind hearted man that would give you the shirt off his back. If Tony had something and you wanted it, it was yours. He was a hard working man who worked at construction and carpentry. He loved to have company the more the merrier. His loyal companion, his dog Sky was by his side right until the end, he loved and took great care of his dog. Tony will be remembered by his granddaughter for buying them Happy Meals he delighted in that. He had a great sense of humor and loved playing match maker and to joke with mother Bessie who he loved dearly. He also spent lots of time with his dear friend Brian Abbott going for coffees and having Brian helping him out in the garage was something Tony loved. He was a strong willed man but his family was his everything. His love and dedication to them will never die and he will be forever missed and his memories will be cherished forever in their hearts. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home, Burin. "We listen. We learn. We walk with you."
