Obituary of Diego Jared Lindor
We are sad to announce the passing of Diego (Jared) Lindor who passed away after a long and courageous struggle with multiple serious health issues. He fell asleep in death on Thursday January 9th, 2025, at Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre, NL.Diego leaves to mourn, with shattered hearts, his loving mother Lyberty (Lynn) Langtry, his brother Caleb Lindor & his father Santiago (Maritza) Lindor. His 37 years of beautiful memories of his life will comfort them. Other beloved family members who will miss him, also heartbroken, are his aunt Edith; his Aunt Laurie & Uncle Jim; and his cousins Gerylyn, Ryan & Kenney.
Diego loved people and felt privileged to be a minister, to help others. He loved the ocean and enjoyed free diving regularly as well as filming ocean life. He was a seasoned finishing Carpenter who loved his work and enjoyed creating intricate woodwork. He was an inventor who would come up with very interesting creations. He was a gifted singer and visual artist. In his life he had enjoyed mountain climbing and loved the challenge of reaching a peak and enjoy the beauty of God’s creation. He regularly hiked into the wilderness, enjoying the wildlife with his brother Caleb. Diego & Caleb were always inseparable
It was always his dream to move to Newfoundland and become part of the island. He loved Newfoundland and was a newfie in spirit even before he moved here. He was a warm and welcoming person, fun loving and he loved all things in nature. His dog Apollos was by his side always. He cared for his family, his brother and his mom and was always willing to help out in any way. In the end of his life, he lived with such sensitivity and was a precious gift all who knew him even in difficult times.
In keeping with Diego's wish, cremation has taken place.
A memorial service will be held for Diego, January 24 at 3pm at Marystown Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
