Obituary of Jerry Stone
It is with great sadness the family of Jerry Stone of Lewin’s Cove announce his passing at the Burin Peninsula Hospital on February 5th, 2022 at the age of 73 years.
Leaving to mourn his wife of 54 years Peggy who was the love of his life; sons Tony (Frances) of Jeddore, NS and Cory of Halifax, NS; grandchildren Jessica Power (Matt) of Halifax, NS, Hannah Stone of Jeddore, NS, Kristen Stone of Gillian, Manitoba and Scott Collington of Fort St. John, BC; sisters Geri Stone(Leo) of Richmond Hill, ON, Wanda Farrell (Aubrey) of St. Lawrence, Audrey Stone of Lewin’s Cove and Laura Candow (Brian) of Gander; brothers Alfred of Lewin’s Cove and Randy (Irene Stacey) of St. Lawrence; sisters-in-law Elizabeth Stone of Creston, Sheila Stone of Richmond Hill, ON and Thelma Fitzpatrick (Dave) of Creston plus a large circle of other family and friends.
Predeceased by parents Jessie and Boyd Stone; parents-in-law Lillian and Gordon Hillier; brothers Lester, Whelman John and Nicholas and niece Karen Stone-Power.
Jerry loved to travel and after he retired in 2010 he spent many days with Peggy at his cabin and touring in their motorhome. They were married for 54 wonderful years. They were best friends to each other and were always seen together, they loved spending their time traveling and making memories. They loved travel but going on cruises was his favorite, together they went on a total of 11 cruises. Peggy was truly the love of his life and he was hers as well. He will be greatly missed and always remembered and loved.

There will be a private visitation on Monday fr 2-4pm & 7-9pm by invitation only. Private funeral service to follow on Monday, February 7th , 2022
