It is with great sadness the family of Judy Hoben of Lewin’s Cove announce her passing at Burin Peninsula Health Care Center on July 30th at the age of 69 years.

Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories son Shawn Walsh (Stephanie) of Lewin’s Cove; daughters Tracey Walsh (Steve) of Goose Bay and Tanya Walsh (Bill) of Little Bay; grandchildren Jay House (Angelita), Jonathan House, Melissa House, Carter Fizzard, Sarah Howse and Billie Howse; great grandson Hunter House; sister Shirley Inkpen (Levi); brothers Bob Hoben (Daphne), Harry Hoben and Ron Hoben (Beverley); brother-in-law Bill Wakeley; many nieces and nephews; her special care workers plus a large circle of other family and friends.

Predeceased by her parents Henry and Jessie Hoben; sisters Julie Wakeley and Joan Inkpen and sister-in-law Marie Hoben.

Judy was a dedicated mother and grandmother. Her family loved to call her Daisy Duke because of her heavy foot while driving. She was dearly loved by her nieces and nephews and was a second mother to them all.

She had a special connection with her twin sister Julie Wakeley whom she missed and talked of everyday after Julie’s passing. When Julie married Bill, Judy always said he married them both and wouldn’t tolerate for anyone to say anything bad about Bill.

Judy loved music and dancing, she was the life of a party and was a person with a great sense of humor and loved to laugh and make other people laugh. Even during her illness she loved to laugh and was worried about everyone else more than herself.
