Predeceased by parents Bill and Theresa Lake; parents-in-law Bill and Amy Butler and granddaughter Aaliyah.
Laurien was a very religious woman who was strong in her faith, she was always a giving woman and always ready to help anyone. Her favorite pass time was trouting, she could stay by the pond without catching a thing and loved being there. One of Bob’s last memories of her was on Wednesday spending the day trouting with her, not knowing it would be their last time trouting together. Laurien loved having company and the more the merrier, her grandkids were her pride and joy. If you visited her you could be sure she had the radio on listening to the music. She loved flowers and seeing them grow in her garden was her delight. Her family has many good memories of her that they will hold close to their hearts forever. But if you were to ask most people that knew her they would say she made the best bread and stewed cod heads they have every eaten. In the little town of Baine Harbour she made many friends and was know by many as “Hun”. She will be missed by so many but her memory will live on in her family and friends.
Donations in her memory may be made to the Baine Harbour Fire Department General Delivery, Baine Harbour, NL A0E 1A0
