It is with great sadness the family of the late William Wellington Lockyer of Burin (formerly of Boat Harbour) announce his passing at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Center on August 23, 2020 in his 87th year.
Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories wife of 62 years Ellen Rose; sons Herman (Mary) and Ernest (Sheila); daughters Edna Lee (Mike), Marie Vardy (Ellison), Wanda Thornhill, Maxine Brushett (Dean), Lisa Hodder (Greg); 18 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren; sisters Verina Hodder & Georgina Butt (Ford) as well as a large circle of extended family and friends.
Predeceased by parents Whilimenia & Thomas Locker, brother Ernest Lockyer, brother-in-law Ray Hodder, grandson Travis Vardy & granddaughter Renee Thornhill.
In keeping with covid 19 regulations there will be a walk thru visitation on Monday, August 24, 2020 2-4pm , 7-9pm, Tuesday, August 25, 2020, 7-9pm (with a maximum of 20 people in funeral home).
Funeral service to take place from Serenity Chapel on Wednesday August 26, 2020 at 11am.
