Obituary of Gertrude (Gertie) Parsons
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Gertrude Parsons of Lewin’s Cove announces her peacefully passing at the Blue Crest Interfaith Nursing Home, Grand Bank on Wednesday April 11, 2018 in her 80th year.
Gertrude leaves to mourn her children James, Donald (Noreen), Wade (Lori) all of Lewin’s Cove, Lori Ann (Albert Jorgensen) of Fox Cove, grandchildren Donna, Kayla, Ethan, Holly, Heather, Hilary, Hope, Joshua, Steven, Amanda, great-grandchildren Kristan, Kelsey, Kelly, Emily, Riley, Isabella, Logan, Owen, Nash, Xander; sisters Marie Whalen of Port au Grave & Irene (Norman Cole) of Torbay; brother Bert King (Sandra) of Bauline plus a large circle of other family and friends.
Predeceased by husband Hubert, parents William & Flora King, sisters Phyllis, Vera, Ethel, brothers Clarence, Stanley, Baxter, John.
Family will be receiving friends at Serenity Funeral Home, Burin on Thursday April 12, 2018 from 10-12PM & 12-9PM and Friday April 13, 2018 from 10AM-9PM.
Funeral service to take place from Hope United Church, Lewin’s Cove on Saturday April 14, 2018 at 2PM with interment following at Hope United Cemetery, Lewin’s Cove.
Donations in her memory may be made to the Alzheimer Society of NL or Blue Crest Nursing Home Bus Fund. No Flowers by Request.
