Obituary of George Brushett

It is with great sadness the family of George Brushett Sr.  of Creston North announces his passing at Burin Peninsula Health Care Center on Friday Jan. 26, 2018  at the age of 98 years. George is a Lifelong member of the local branch of the Royal Canadian Legion and 71 years with the Free Masons.

Leaving to mourn wife Mary Frances; daughter Ann Forsey (Nathaniel) of Kingston, ON; sons George Ernie (Joanne) of Creston North, Gary (Linda) of Grand Bank and Jeffery (Lorna) of Creston North; grandchildren Chris, Melissa, Andrew, Justin, Jamie, Ashley, Robyn and Hannah; great grandchildren Julia, Jacob, Lilly, Jesse and Jack; brother Donald Brushett of Halifax plus a large circle of other family and friends.

Predeceased by brothers Douglas and Leonard; sisters Jessie, Evalen, Edith Mary, Helena  and Victoria.

Resting at Serenity Funeral Home, Sunday 1-4PM and 7-9PM and Monday 10AM to 12PM, 2-4PM and 7-9PM.

Anglican Funeral service to take place from Pentecostal Church, Creston North Tuesday at 2PM with interment following at Pentecostal cemetery, Creston North.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Local Food Bank or Canadian Legion, Burin.
