Obituary of Fraser Smith

It is with great sadness that the family of Fraser Smith of Port au Bras announces his passing at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital, St. John's on March 30th at the age of 84 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife Irene; son Gerald Clarke(Lisa) of B.C.; daughter Tina Smith (Tony) of Port au Bras; grandchildren Karlie La Rose, Shannon La Rose, Jolene Clarke and Tyler Smith; sister Bev (Lee Butler) of B.C., Ken (Sharon Smith) of B.C.; brothers-in-law George W. Abbott (Noreen) of St. John's, Joe Abbott (Beatrice) of Port au Bras, Ernest Abbott (Lillian) of Port au Bras, Cyril Abbott (Sheila) of Bonne Bay, Calvin Abbott (Janita) Bulls Cove, Burin, James Abbott (Daisy) of Port au Bras and Gary Abbott (Hope) of St. John's; sisters-in-law Florence Trowbridge (Bob) of Port au Bras, Alma Trowbridge of Ontario, Marie Skinner (Albert) of Port au Bras, Mary Abbott (George) of Port au Bras, Goldie Farewell (Jim) of Creston and Elizabeth Abbott of Port au Bras; many nieces and nephews plus a large circle of other family and friends. Predeceased by parents Byrne and Catherine Smith of B.C.; brother Robert Smith of B.C.; parents-in-law Annie and Ernest Abbott; sister-in-law Gertie Cross and brother-in- law Frank Abbott. Resting at Serenity Funeral Home, Burin, Saturday from 11am to 1pm family only. Family will be accepting visitors from 1-9pm Saturday and 10am -9pm Sunday. Funeral service to take place from St. Andrew's Anglican Church, Port au Bras Monday, April 3rd at 2pm with interment following at Anglican Cemetery, Port au Bras. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the family. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home, Burin.
