Sincerest sympathy to the entire family. We are left with many happy thoughts of a childhood friend to Doug, a high school best friend to Cynthia and then it was only fitting that he was Best Man at our wedding. A loss to anyone fortunate to have known him.

I received a phone call just two days ago , from one of my oldest and dearest friends, Mr.Jimmy Johnston , about the passing of, one of my oldest and dearest friends, Roger Lambert.
Most reading this probably do not know me , but I certainly knew your dear loved one , Roger.
When we went to school in ST.John's , we hooked up our first year there ,and what followed , could easily have had a movie cast to tell the story .Seriously
Roger , was not at all hard to love from first meeting , a kind soul , who loved to laugh, loved a good time, and was a loyal and true friend. I cannot say how hard, and revealing it is to be writing this , and brings to mind moreso now , the value of keeping on contact. Over the past few years of our lives , we had lost touch no doubt, as sometimes today's busy lives allow , but in times like this it makes it so obvious that you wish you had tried a little harder . But you know what , it doesn't matter , because Roger didn't dwell on stuff like that .
To write condolences about the passing of a good friend, is certainly not an easy thing to do , its hard to say things about a friend , talking about him in the PAST tense , but whats even harder, is to limit yourself from all of the great things you could say about him . Where would I start , where would it end ? Well , one place I can tell you that it doesn't end , is here on earth, we will all see Roger again .
I thought about that , and coupled with my faith in the belief that there is more to life, than life and death itself , how could we take comfort and know, that Roger is not so bad off, as OUR great sorrow for his passing, would indicate. Our sorrow has nothing to do with where Roger is , or how he is doing. He was a great person , he’s gone where great people go , to Heaven.
In fact he's in a place we all want to go, just not right now.
Rest assured that if you live a good life , you will see Roger again,
To one who has faith, no explanation is necessary. To one without faith, no explanation is possible.”
With every passing of one of my friends , I reflect on the situation , but never try to explain it , or seek answers , because death can be good and bad . It's Bad , when someone dies suddenly , but its always worse , believe me , when they die slowly .Both of these scenarios are natural
but none of them are our choice.
Roger , was a happy fellow , who I am sure feels as though his Journey , was a good one, the bit of a philosopher in him would see death , as the beginning of the next big adventure. It's tougher on those left behind however , because you feel the pain of his loss. I guarantee you one thing you will never lose, and cannot be taken away , is his fond memory , because the memory of GREAT people .lives on forever , Roger certainly qualifies there .
I will miss you my old friend and cherish the portion of your journey , that I was a part of , and thankful , that you were part of mine,,,,,,
Until we meet again my treasured friend , I wish you , Serenity , but my greatest wish now , will be for your family and friends who have to deal with your leaving. I know many of them, not all, but they sure must be a fine lot to have been part of, and helped in the making of, a fine man. Luv ya bud .

KISMET
ROGER LAMBERT
I met Roger 16 years ago through Jimmie Johnston (my better half) who brought myself and my 2 children to meet his best friend and family for the first time.
When Roger and Susan welcomed us in I remember the warmth and love it was like home, the smile on Roger's face unforgettable. During that evening Roger had said to me this is KISMET, at the time I didn't know what that meant, feeling awkward I had to ask but Roger assured me no question wasn't worth asking knowledge is key.
SO KISMET (destiny)is Roger Lambert
A true loyal friend for life, to count on and hold dear to the heart.
The one who lights up the room with the mustache smile, and glistening eye.
Roger always made you laugh until you cried at times for me peed my pants.
Always the life if the party and making you feel better about life and yourself.
I will always cherish our memories and you will always forever be missed my Kismet friend.
Thank you for letting me share this memory and my deepest condolences to you and your family.
