Obituary of Raymond John Warren
Raymond " Ray Ray" Warren 69 of Burin passed peacefully away at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre Tuesday, May 17th, 2016.
Born in Salt Pond, Newfoundland to the late Alice and Norman Warren, Ray was a committed golf and soccer player. He was one of the founding members of the Grande Meadows golf course in Frenchman's Cove. Ray was a successful businessman taking over his parents' restaurant Alice's Drive In in 1978 which he later transitioned into Warren's Enterprise. He was well known for his kindness, good sense of humour,strength and easy going attitude, Ray was liked and loved by many. He will be forever missed by his loving wife and best friend Dorothy, daughters Erica (Albert) , Heather and Linsey, grandson Daniel and granddaughter Abigayle. He is also survived by his siblings Evelyn, Shirley, Norma, Kathy, Linsey, Peggy, Christine, Jim and Penny, his brother- in- laws Kent (Carol) and Ross. He was predeceased by his sister Marie, his brother Lawrence, sister- in- law Debbie and brother- in- laws Peter Grondin, Peter Dunderdale and Louis Bailey, mother-in-law Jean and father -in-law Jack Lloyd.. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held from 12-4pm and 5-9pm on Friday, May 20, 2016 at Serenity Funeral Home, Salt Pond. Memorial service to be held at St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church in Burin on Saturday May 21, 2016 at 11:00 am.
