It hits very hard when we hear of a friend who has lost her spouse. We went through school together, got married around the same time, our sons being born on the same day, May 17, 1983! Now we have reached that time in our lives when we can retire, travel, or do whatever it is that we have dreamed of doing. It seems so unfair!
But we have to trust in the bigger plan that has been set out for us. Some day we will understand.
