It is with great sadness that the family of Mary Amelia Shave of Burin announces her passing Tuesday, October 14 , 2014 at Burin Peninsula Health Care Center, Burin at the age of 96 years.
Leaving to mourn son Sterling (Mildred); daughters Donna (Roland), Eloise (Lyndon); step-sons Harvey (Belle), Raymond (Susan); grandchildren Melanie (Frank), Krista (Steven), Brian (Jeanette), Chelcy, Stevey; great-grandchildren Elizabeth and Samuel; brother Joseph; sister Della; plus many nieces and nephews and a large circle of other family and friends.
Predeceased by Husband Captain Raymond Shave; Step-son Paul; Step-daughter Greta; Parents Fred and Elizabeth Appleby; Brothers Fred, William and Thomas Appleby; Sister Thelma.
In keeping with Mary's wishes, cremation has taken place.
Resting at Serenity Funeral Home, Burin on Friday from 2-9 PM
Funeral to take place on Saturday from Zion United Church, Collins at 11AM with interment following at Zion United Cemetery, Collins Cove
